Our Local Elected Officials
Mayor Irwin Edelson
Irwin Edelson has lived in Larchmont for over 30 years with his wife Marie. He has two children, ages 26 and 28, who attended Mount Laurel Schools. Irwin is the General Manager of a plastic distribution and fabrication business located in Northeast Philadelphia. He holds an undergraduate degree in business and marketing.
Irwin has long been committed to community involvement. He has coached baseball, soccer and basketball and is a past President of Fleetwood Athletic Association. Irwin has served as the Master of Ceremonies of the Mount Laurel Fall Festival for the past 20 years. He has served our Community as well on the Mount Laurel MUA for 12 years and the Mount Laurel Zoning Board for 16 years
Deputy Mayor Linda Bobo
Linda Bobo has lived in Mount Laurel for 20 years with her husband and 3 children, ages 9, 13 and 15, each of who attend Mount Laurel Schools. She is the founder of Kinderlanguage, a company dedicated to the early introduction of second languages to young children. She holds an undergraduate degree and an MBA.
In addition to her professional life as a local business owner, Linda is involved in many other community activities. She serves on the Mount Laurel Township Council and the Mount Laurel Library Board of Trustees. Linda is the founder of Helping Hands at Springville Elementary School and a founding member of the Mount Laurel Green Team. Linda is also a Girl Scout leader and volunteers at her children's schools and PTO functions.
Councilman Kurt Folcher
Folcher is a political outsider, coach and dedicated volunteer with over a decade of experience in finance and business. His career as a Vice President of Investments and Retirements Services provides him with the experience necessary to plan a sound and responsible financial future for Mount Laurel.
He’s a long-time lacrosse, baseball and basketball coach, former member of the planning board and serves as a member of the local zoning board. He’s an active member of the Mount Laurel Business Association, where he works to attract new businesses and the jobs they create to our community. A proud father of two, Kurt volunteers as the legislative liaison for his son and daughter’s school. He is a Gettysburg College graduate with a BA in Human Resource Management.
Kurt and his wife Carol have lived in Mount Laurel for 17 years and are the proud parents of two children.
